Essentials:
The ideal candidate must have a working knowledge of the state- of- the- art bioinformatics, computational biology, and protein/small molecules modelling tools. He/She is expected to have an experience in modelling, de novo prediction, structure visualization and analysis, docking, molecular dynamics, and structure-based protein/small molecules. A good knowledge in Drug discovery pipelines and computer aided drug design knowledge. Develop protocols, statistical models and algorithms to guarantee the experimental data quality is free of process issues and representative of the true underlying catalytic activity of enzymes.
Job Responsibilities:
To develop algorithms in enzyme homology modelling, enzyme / compound binding and reactivity, as well as select, onboard and refine the most appropriate ones to support the long- term vision of PRI. You will be a part of the current development team and will play a part developing applications as a part of the internal products and ongoing research studies
Educational experience and requirements:
- Ph.D in Bioinformatics (0-2 years of experience in above field) OR
- M.Sc. / MTech (3-5 years of experience in above field) OR
- B.Tech (> 5 years of experience in above field).

Patanjali Research Institute is seeking a Data Scientist enthusiast with the ability to solve complex biological problems, improve the understanding of biological systems and diseases and accelerate drug discovery using machine learning and AI.
Essentials:
Prior knowledge of Biology or related discipline is a must with proven experience in Data science.
Job Responsibilities:
- Understand and translate the requirements of our research teams to develop scientific and technical plans that help to achieve their study objectives
- Analyse multi-omics (metabolomics, genomic, proteomic and etc) and other kinds of biological data to derive relevant insights using state-of-the-art statistical methods
- Innovate and implement new tools and pipelines, improve existing pipelines and algorithms for different types of biological data analysis and visualization.
- Effectively communicate analysis results via presentations.
- Perform integrative, pathway and network analyses to understand disease mechanisms and discover insights.
- Identify valuable data sources and automate data collection
- Monitor and evaluate new and emerging analytical technologies and identify opportunities for collaboration.
- Work in a multi-disciplinary team of Biologists and Chemists.
Educational experience and requirements:
- PhD (1-3 years of experience in the relevant field) OR Master’s Degree (3-5 years of relevant experience) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biology or related technical discipline.
- Relevant experience in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Omics data analysis, Machine Learning or related fields is preferred.
- Proficient in a programming language used for data analysis such as Python or R.
- Candidate with a thorough understanding of biological data, experimental design, data mining, and curation is preferred.
- Hands-on experience applying computational algorithms and statistical methods to structured and unstructured big data.
- Deep understanding of basic statistical concepts and principles, such as regression and hypothesis testing.
- Extensive experience in data mining, cleansing, data visualization, and machine learning.

Job Requirement
Metal-based ash (bhasma) particles have been described in the ancient Indian Ayurveda text-books to modulate various diseases through therapeutic approaches. These metal-based particles act as the source of essential minerals capable of catalyzing various metabolic activities and as carrier source for the easy uptake and translocation of herbal medicines.
Research goal of the Nano-Bio research team at the Drug Discovery and Development Division, Patanjali Research Institute is to:-
- Establish a rigid physicochemical characterization regime for the traditionally prepared bhasma
- Exploit their biological mode of action on the basis of their physicochemical properties
- Transform the unique bhasma into nanoparticles for their use as nano-carrier and enhance their therapeutic and theranostic potentials.
Educational experience and requirements:
- The team is looking for a bright, dynamic, ambitious and self-driven research scientist with a doctorate degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or any Nanotechnology-related fields to start immediately within the team.
- The candidate should have a sound knowledge and understanding of different particle characterization techniques such as, dynamic light scattering, SEM-EDX, XRD, ICP-MS, and FTIR spectroscopy.
- It would be advantageous to have additional work-experience in performing in vitro and ex vivo mammalian cell culture, molecular biology and biochemistry analysis.
- The candidate should have strong English speaking and writing skills with a flair for writing scientific manuscripts and reports as per requirement.
