The Patanjali Herbal Research Division focuses on documenting, analyzing, designing, and executing projects aligned with the objectives of Patanjali institutions. This division comprises approximately 150 skilled scientists with diverse expertise in fields such as Botany, Taxonomy, Microbiology, and Biotechnology. These experts collaborate on numerous academic research projects centered on plant-based medicine, yoga, and related disciplines, working to produce scientific and empirical evidence supporting the therapeutic benefits of these areas. The division regularly publishes research and review articles in nationally and internationally recognized journals, enhancing global visibility for Yoga and Ayurveda through validated data. Its goal is to develop well-organized and reliable research, providing valuable resources for scientists, researchers, and industry professionals dedicated to advancing research, development, and promotion of Yoga and Ayurveda.
Job Profile for Language Translator
The Nepali Translation Expert will be responsible for translating, editing and proofreading written and spoken materials from Nepali to other languages (and vice versa) while preserving accuracy, cultural context and meaning. This role requires strong linguistic skills in Nepali, attention to detail and the ability to handle diverse types of content, including technical, literary and business materials.
Location: Haridwar (onsite) or Work-from-Home (remote)
No. of Vacancies: Proofreader (2) and Translator (2)
Qualification & Experience:
- Proofreader: 5-6 years of experience in proofreading Nepali translations.
- Translator: Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Linguistics, Language Studies or a related field.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken Nepali and English.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Translate documents, reports and various materials from English to Nepali, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain terminology consistency.
- Meet translation deadlines and prioritizing high-quality output.
- Review and proofread translated content to ensure language accuracy, coherence and cultural appropriateness.
- Work closely with translators to refine and enhance content quality.
- Maintain and update a glossary of Nepali terms and industry-specific terminology for consistency.
- Implement feedback from clients and language experts to refine translations.
Additional Responsibilities:
This includes but not limited to the following:
- Generally aware of best practices and business/industry trendsin writing/translation.
- Participate in VC/audio calls along with your manager and record the minutes as required.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong research skills for terminology and domain-specific knowledge.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for language and cultural preservation.
