Job Summary for Subject Matter Expert/Trainer (Agriculture)

The Subject Matter Expert/Trainer will provide technical training, mentoring and field-level handholding support to farmers, FPOs and agri-entrepreneurs. The role will focus on strengthening skills in agribusiness, value chain, processing, supply chain, marketing, quality assurance, branding, accounts and compliances, while supporting effective project implementation.

• Project: Strengthening FPOs in Uttarakhand through Market Linkage, Training & Capacity Building, Credit Access, and Hand-Holding Support sanctioned by NABARD, Govt. of India
• Number of Positions: 06
• Project Duration: 28 months
• Remuneration: ₹35,000/- per month

Educational and Experience Requirements:

• M.Sc. in Agriculture from a recognized university.
• Minimum 02 years of relevant experience in FPOs related activities in agribusiness, FPOs, value chain development, processing, marketing, supply chain, quality assurance, branding, accounts or compliances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver technical training and capacity-building sessions for farmers, FPOs and agrientrepreneurs.
• Provide domain-specific mentoring and practical handholding support.
• Develop training materials, presentations, modules and case studies.
• Conduct field visits and provide solutions to technical and operational challenges.
• Facilitate market linkages, value-chain development and business opportunities.
• Monitor training outcomes and support achievement of project targets.
• Prepare training reports, MIS, documentation and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
