Job Description

University of Patanjali (UOP), located near the tranquil Himalayan foothills in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, is named after Maharshi Patanjali, the sage who compiled the first aphorisms on Yoga around 900 BC. Established under Uttarakhand State Legislature Act No. 4/2006 and approved by the UGC, UOP is sponsored by Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust and affiliated with the Association of Indian Universities. The fully residential campus is known for its holistic approach, integrating Yoga, yajnas, and personalized teaching based on the ancient Guru-Shishya tradition. Department: Journalism & Mass Communication

1. Video Camera Person – Studio & Outdoor Operations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate professional video cameras for studio and outdoor shoots.
  • Set up and handle cameras, lighting and basic shooting equipment.
  • Record lectures, interviews, events, promotional content and other university activities.
  • Ensure proper framing, focus, exposure and audio during shoots.
  • Coordinate with the video editing and production team.
  • Maintain and safely handle camera and related equipment.
  • Manage outdoor shooting requirements as assigned.

Essential Qualification & Experience:

  • Knowledge of camera operation is essential.
  • Practical experience in studio and outdoor video production is preferred/required as per the university advertisement.
  • Minimum qualifications shall be as per applicable UGC norms.
2. Video Editor with Knowledge of Graphics

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit video content for university lectures, events, interviews and promotional activities.
  • Create engaging and professional video content for digital and social media platforms.
  • Add titles, transitions, effects, graphics and other visual elements.
  • Perform basic colour correction, audio synchronization and video enhancement.
  • Create graphic elements, thumbnails, lower thirds and other required visual content.
  • Work closely with the camera person and production team.
  • Organize and maintain video/project files and edited footage.

Essential Qualification & Experience:

  • Knowledge and practical experience in video editing and graphics is essential.
  • Professional qualifications shall be considered as per applicable UGC norms.
